THE PROCESS
We propose to renovate the existing schools, not build new.
In the summer of 2022, the district worked with the outside consulting firm, inBYLT (then known as Apex), to conduct a full analysis of the district’s current facilities. Additionally, a group of community leaders, including school representatives, business owners, community members, and city officials met to discuss the district’s buildings’ needs. This information helped inform the proposed plan for our schools.
District facilities analysis by Apex/inBYLT completed in the summer of 2022.
Community listening sessions were held with community members and school district staff to review facilities deficiencies in 2022-2023. Additional meetings were held to review facilities options.
The school district continued its efforts to explore all potential facility options in 2023-2024.
A public opinion survey was conducted by School Perceptions in May 2025 to help the school board determine whether to build a new building or renovate existing buildings.
The school board approved a bond levy referendum unanimously in June 2025.
The referendum election is set for November 4, 2025.
